Bad Flower | The Sylvee
Badflower – September 21, 2024
There’s something haunting about the way Badflower takes the stage — like you’re watching someone read a confession they never meant to share. This wasn’t just a performance; it felt like a journal cracked open under the stage lights, every lyric landing like a bruise.
They moved between urgency and restraint — moments of explosive energy followed by quiet, vulnerable stillness. Josh Katz doesn’t just sing; he lets every word linger, fragile and sincere, like he’s balancing on the edge of letting go.
Photographing this set wasn’t about capturing motion — it was about capturing emotion. The tension between holding it together and falling apart. You could feel the crowd breathing with them, pulled into that delicate space between hurt and healing.
One of the most emotionally honest sets I’ve documented — raw, reflective, and unforgettable.
