My name is Dan, and I’ve been taking photographs since 2013. I originally picked up a camera after seeing my best friend’s work, mostly because I thought it looked like something I’d enjoy. Turns out I was right. I shoot concerts, cars, events, and whatever else gives me a reason to grab the camera. The best part for me has never really been the camera itself. It’s the people you meet, the places you end up, and those little moments that would otherwise disappear. I’m not much of a “stand here, do this, look that way” photographer. I’m pretty relaxed about it. I’d rather let the moment happen and catch it than try to force something that isn’t there. Over the years, photography has taken me to places I probably wouldn’t have ended up otherwise, and introduced me to a lot of people I wouldn’t have met. That’s probably what keeps me doing it. There’s always another show, another car, another person, or another moment worth photographing.
