Soulkiller Debut Show | The Annex

Soulkiller delivered a set that felt unfiltered and unforgiving — heavy in sound, heavier in emotion. Their presence on stage wasn’t loud for the sake of volume; it was deliberate, drenched in tension, every note carrying weight. Nothing felt thrown away — each riff, each pause, each lyric was placed like a scar.

The vocals were piercing without being overbearing, cutting through thick distortion with clarity and conviction. You could feel the room leaning into it — not just hearing the music, but absorbing it. It was the kind of performance that sat in your chest long after the lights went out.

Photographing them meant embracing the shadows — catching what didn’t need to be said, but was still deeply felt. Dark. Honest. Controlled.

Dan

I shoot metal shows — up close, in the pit, where it actually happens.

Based in Wisconsin, I work under Dark Studio Films to capture heavy and alternative artists exactly as they are — raw, unfiltered, and loud as hell. No posing. No polished edits. Just real moments that hit and stick.

This isn’t just concert photography.

It’s framed // chaos.

This is heavy. This is real. This is mine.
